Collaborative Research
Driving Discovery, Together
We place a high value on collaboration. Through our Woodruff Health Sciences Center and Office of Research Administration, we have partnerships with medical and educational institutions across the state, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Tech, and Morehouse School of Medicine, that have strengthened our reach, giving us the opportunity to teach, help, and discover more than ever.
Georgia ImmunoEngineering Consortium
This partnership brings together medical, engineering, and science experts to understand how the immune system works and find breakthroughs to improve the lives of patients suffering from cancer, infectious diseases, autoimmune and inflammatory disorders as well as those undergoing regenerative therapies.
Malaria Host-Pathogen Interaction Center
This research program involves clinical studies from many areas of the world to develop and evaluate new malaria diagnostic tools, antimalarial drugs, and vaccines for different types of malaria.
Nanomedicine Center for Nucleoprotein Machines
This center’s focus is to understand and redirect the natural processes of repairing damaged DNA by engineering an innovative gene correction device.
